Terms and Conditions related to Abhisam courses (Self paced E-learning courses, Blended Learning courses and Instructor led training courses, Masterclasses and workshops
- All sales are final. Refunds will be provided only at Abhisam’s discretion if Abhisam finds that the course is not working for any reason.
- Course Sales may be either via this website (www.abhisam.com) or the Abhisam Learning Portal (https://prettygoodcourses.com) or via the Abhisam India Learning Portal at https://prettygoodcourses.in
- E-commerce sales via www.abhisam.com and https://prettygoodcourses.com may be via our reseller FastSpring. E-commerce sales via https://prettygoodcourses.in may be via payment gateways such as Stripe, PayU Razorpay or Paypal.
- Offline sales (in which a web based shopping cart is not used but a payment link is sent via email) may also be via PayU, Stripe, Razorpay or Paypal.
- Offline sales may also be carried out via Bank Transfer. In no case will cash or other non electronic forms of payment be accepted.
- The use of the e-learning course entails usage of the internet and adequate PC/laptop with a browser that supports HTML5 to access the course online. This shall be in buyer’s scope.
- In case of courses where a Download is offered, the download program will have to be installed on the learners PC/laptop. In all cases, whether course access is provided online via a Learning Management System or by means of a downloadable program, no Intellectual Property is being transferred to customer, only a license to use is being offered.
- Login and Password for the Abhisam courses are not to be shared with others and are meant for use of the learners own use only.
- The course (e-learning software) is owned by Abhisam and the buyer will be licensed to use it for their internal use only. It cannot be resold or transferred to third parties without permission. No Intellectual property is being transferred to buyer or learner.
- All information exchanged between buyer and Abhisam will be treated as confidential by both parties.
- The e-learning course contents and examples, exercises & guidelines are for illustrative and training purposes only. Buyer shall use their own engineering judgement. No legal or safety/security related advisory services are being provided by Abhisam. In no case will Abhisam be liable for learner actions based on the information in the e-learning course. No consequential damages will be applicable.
- The participants have to access and complete the e-learning course and the online exam within the license period applicable.
- Abhisam hosts their e-learning courses on a third party server with a very high degree of uptime. However, in the rare case of an outage, Abhisam will increase the access period for to compensate for the period in which the course was inaccessible. This will be solely at Abhisam’s discretion. In no case will Abhisam be liable to compensate monetarily for such loss of access. In no circumstances will Abhisam be held responsible for any errors, crashes or other damage (hardware or software) that may result from the viewing of the course on the learner’s PC/laptop/device.
- Nothing that is stated or construed by reading the contents of an Abhisam training course, can be claimed to be safety or legal or financial advice. Learners are urged to refer to their own local regulations, national and international standards, for the exact regulations that may apply to them or the plants or facilities that they work in, or situations that they are a part of. Abhisam training courses are to make the task of understanding of the subject matter much easier, to help your plant or facility become a better place. While all attempts have been made to verify the information provided in the training courses, Abhisam or any of its employees, shareholders, partners, managers or directors, subject matter experts, contractors or resellers, (collectively referred as “associates”) do not assume any responsibility for errors, omissions, or contrary interpretations of the subject matter in the training courses. Abhisam wants to stress that the information contained within the training courses, may be subject to varying international, national, federal, state, and/or local laws or regulations. The learner assumes full and complete responsibility for the use of the training courses. Adherence to all applicable laws and regulations, including international, national, federal, state and local governing professional licensing, business practices, advertising, and all other aspects of doing business in the EU, US, Canada, India, China, South Africa or any other jurisdiction is the sole responsibility of the learner of the training courses. Abhisam or its associates do not assume any responsibility or liability whatsoever on the behalf of the learners or customers of the training courses. While due care has been taken to review and verify the accuracy, reliability and correctness of the contents of the training courses, Abhisam or its associates are not liable for any direct or indirect or consequential or any other kind of damage, which may result from using Abhisam training courses and the contents therein.
15. In case of Instructor led training workshops, the same conditions apply. The course contents including the study materials, exercises, assessments, case studies, handouts, etc continue to be owned by Abhisam and the participants in the Instructor led training courses, workshops and masterclasses as well as the blended learning programs are only licensed to use them. The buyer can only use the licensed material for their own internal use and cannot sell it or license it to third parties.
16. If a scheduled Instructor led training course, masterclass, workshop or the instructor led portion of a blended learning program cannot take place due to any reason, then it will be held on alternative dates and/or at alternative locations. No refunds will be due to participants or damages, including consequential damages will be admissible.
